The sound of scooter engines came to Bridgnorth last weekend, when the Run To The Severn Scooter Jam took place.
It was the second year for the event, which saw scooterists descend on Bridgnorth Rugby Club’s Edgar Davies Ground on Saturday to meet fellow enthusiasts and enjoy live music.
The event was bigger and better than last year, with more stalls, more bands, more visitors and more scooters. A lot of people chose to camp on the rugby ground on the Friday , with even more pitching their tents to stay on Saturday night.
This year the organisers had the use of the rugby club’s marquee, which staged the live bands and DJs. Bands playing included Academy of Sound, The Quik Beats and The Rogues, with DJ sets filling in the gaps between the bands.
The marquee would have been a handy retreat if the rain came, but fortunately it wasn’t needed as an early drizzly, grey start gave way to warmer, drier weather.
Jack Cheadle attended the event on his Vespa and came to the inaugural Run To The Severn in 2016.
He said: “It was fantastic to be back in Bridgnorth and great to see how much the event had grown since last year – I can’t wait for the next one!”
